Spotify/upload
Spotify has a cool feature that allows you to scan a Spotify code and it will play the song. This has spawned some great artwork using these codes. With this template, you can make these at home as well on your Cricut.
I love how this artwork incorporates such a personal touch. It would be perfect as a gift. The one in this tutorial is a picture from my wedding as the album art and the song is our wedding song. What song has significant importance to you?

HOW TO MAKE THE SPOTIFY GLASS ARTWORK ON YOUR CRICUT
If youâd rather watch a video on how to make it step by step, take a look at this video here (highly recommended!):
STEP 1: GATHER ALL OF THE FILES
Grab your SVG file from the free resource library.
Unzip the file. If you do not have a program installed on your computer to unzip, I recommend 7-zip. (Itâs free! Windows only)
For the Spotify song code, go to Spotify and search for the song youâd like to use.
Click on the three dots next to the song and select âCopy song linkâ. https://treehu516.weebly.com/blog/capture-spotify-audio-mac.
Head over to Spotify Codes and enter the song url you just copied. On the pop-up box, leave all of the settings and make sure you select âSVGâ as file type. Download the file.
STEP 2: DESIGN IN CRICUT DESIGN SPACE
Upload the template design in Cricut Design Space.
The designs are already sized for cutting so no sizing adjustments are needed.
We do however need to customize the text and images. The next few steps will show you how to do this.
Upload the image youâd like to use for the album art. I recommend adding a personal touch and using your own image.
Save the image as a print then cut.
Change the cut type on the green box to engrave. This will allow you to temporarily see a âguideâ for how your image will look.
When you are comfortable with how your image looks for the album art, change the cut back to âcutâ.
Select both the green box layer and your image layer and click on âsliceâ. This will cut your image out.
Delete the green box layerand the image cut out layer. Now you have your album art!
Next we are going to add our Spotify song code.
Upload the song code you downloaded in Step 1.
Resize this file to the black box in the template.
Delete both layers that contain the black box once it is re-sized.
Next, letâs add our text for our song name and artist name.
The font we are using for this project is called âMade Tommyâ. You can download the personal use version from dafont. If you are selling these, you will need a commercial license.
The song name is in Made Tommy (bold) and the artist name is in Made Tommy (regular). This font was one of the closest fonts I could find to the Spotify font. But feel free to use whatever other fonts you prefer.
The song name goes first (in the red box) and the artist name goes below it in the blue box. Delete the red and blue boxes once you are happy with how the text looks.
Cricut Design Space is a bit finicky with fonts. We will likely need to manually adjust the spacing between the words. You can do this by first ungrouping the layers.
To make the word spacing easier, group letters in a word. Manually move the words around to your desired liking.
Once you are satisfied with how everything looks, donât forget to delete the red and blue boxes.
There is also a smaller blue box that you can put the song length in. Spotify iphone app download free. I recommend deleting this layer as well as the 0:00 timer unless you are making a larger design. This was very difficult to weed.
Finally, when everything looks good to your liking, we need to attach all layers (except for our album cover). Select ALL layers (except album cover) and ATTACH.
Now we are ready to move to the next screen. Click âMake itâ!
STEP 3: CUT IT OUT
Spotify apk for android 4.4.4. Cricut Design Space will sort the mats based on colour.
You should only have two mats. One for the print then cut and one for the vinyl cut.
Cut these out.
STEP 4: WEED
Now we need to weed our vinyl. (This basically means removing the parts we donât want to use.)
I liked to start from the corner to get the bigger piece off and then use my weeding tools to get the smaller bits.
Once you are done weeding, transfer your vinyl to your transfer tape.
STEP 5: PLACE THE DESIGN
Now that we have our template ready to go on our transfer tape, you can place it on the glass in the frame.
I am using 8â³x 10â³ floating frames from the dollar store. When you open this up, there should be two glass panels. One for the front and one for the back. The artwork will go on the back panel.
I put the glass panel on my cutting mat because it has a grid that I can use as a guide. I put it in the bottom corner and then placed my album cover first to see how I wanted to center it.
Then I shifted the glass panel so that the corners aligned with the corner of the album art.
Glue down the album art.
Remove the transfer tape.
Place your vinyl underneath the album art.
Remove the transfer tape.
CONGRATULATIONS
Thatâs all!I love the look of this artwork in the floating frame! It gives it so much more dimension. I hope you like it too!
